The English term payless talents could be translated into German as: Brotlose Kunst.
Although I completed Heilpraktiker training and a number of additional seminars, I do not hold the official authorisation to practise within the medical field — the knowledge I gained, however, feeds directly into my coaching.
Coaching itself isn’t therapy; in pure coaching we don’t start by treating mental-health diagnoses. Coaching looks forward, while therapists work through what lies in the past. That said, coaching can take different forms. As a systemic coach, I also work at the edges of psychotherapy: I ask many questions and use a range of coaching methods to help my clients find their own answers. And for that, we do reflect on the past — but always in service of moving you confidently towards what’s next.
I also hold a Fitnessfachwirt certification — with extensive modules in rehabilitation, nutrition, elements of physiotherapy, and much more — as well as systemic coach training with components that lean towards psychotherapy.
For several years my main profession took me into the social sector — working in social support and coaching for my district’s Job Centre and enrolling at Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. I then moved into mentoring young offenders with “Durchboxen”, the locally TV-known programme founded by Lothar Kannenberg. After a few years I left the social sector and returned to the private economy — particularly sales and marketing. The knowledge from those years in social work is still very much with me and shows up in other fields: team motivation, recruiting, staff development, communication, and much more… well, all of it informs how I coach and lead.
After taking several case histories and supporting people who were struggling — in whatever way — I decided to broaden the blog on medicine and naturopathy so that, if you read, listen or watch carefully, you’ll find plenty of help there too. However, my priorities have shifted to the three core areas of coaching. The (extensive) medical knowledge therefore flows in “only” as needed. “Only”… many people underestimate how holistic this really is.
One-to-one coaching with me includes Mindsetting/Inner Engineering. It’s hard work — and far more demanding for both of us — than simply telling someone which blood tests I need, analysing them afterwards, and then mapping out supplementation and next steps such as dietary changes and the rest. That part is easy for me: it often doesn’t bring the results I’m hoping for. People tend to slip back into their habits and comfort zone. With mindset work, both sides enter a clear framework and a shared commitment to change —giving us a much better chance of success, health and happiness.
Humankind optimises machines, technology, robotics, computers. But the idea that we can optimise ourselves (Mindsetting/Inner Engineering) feels suspicious to many. Is €1,000 too much for an upgrade? It depends on the value you give — or want to give — to your life…
At this point: a divorce — with all its long-term implications — is a little more costly than investing in a couples therapist who might just help you make it work again.
Coaching is tailored to your needs. This can include focal points such as:
Hourly rates vary, and a one-to-one coaching package can be composed of the modules mentioned above. An initial case history is in the industry-standard range of around one hundred euros. If you budget the following sessions at about €70 per hour, you won’t go far wrong. This can be more affordable in so-called “packages”. We cannot bill health insurance; we issue coaching invoices, which are tax-deductible.
Thank you for your attention!
Warmly, your coaches, Gregor and Caro, from Bad Hersfeld.
Very important: People often ask us to call someone else who, in their view, needs help, and they send us that person’s phone number. Please … we don’t proactively contact anyone — they need to want it themselves and come to us.
We’d also like to mention that many self-optimisation-minded people who find their way to us regularly recommend books, videos, seminars, other coaches and speakers.
It’s well known that, at some point, clients may star trying to train their therapists.
We’re familiar with many of these books, articles, videos, seminars, other coaches, speakers, healers and therapists. And we continue our own learning — independently and consistently. That’s a promise.
So please don’t send us any more recommendations. 🙂
